Capturing a Snapshot in Time
Showcase families, it’s time to start thinking about recital pictures!
For your convenience, *Recital Picture Week will be held April 4-7 at the studio during regular class times. This is an opportunity for your dancer to have professional dance photos taken (in costume!) with direction from our experienced SDS staff.
So, why choose these photos when you could just take photos at home with your iPhone? Let me count the ways!
To start, Amy Nicole is excited to bring her talent and expertise to our dancers. As a professional photographer, Amy has trained in capturing those perfect moments: that sparkle in your dancer’s eyes… that cheeky smile… that split-second arabesque. She’s also experienced with backdrops, lighting, and editing, creating crisp shots that are worthy of living on your mantelpiece (or your Instagram) for years to come.
Our SDS teachers are also experienced in posing dancers to look their best. We want you to look back on these photos and see your child with both correct placement AND confidence. Just like we do for the stage, our team will help your dancer to feel his or her best in front of the camera!
When you order pictures this year, you’ll have digital, shareable downloads to choose from. This means you’ll have the utmost ease in choosing the photos you like best, sharing them on social media, emailing them to grandparents, or sending them to your favorite printer for that canvas art you know will look perfect in the family room. Additionally, you’ll receive FREE group pictures with your purchase of individual shots.
Above all, Recital Picture Week is an absolute blast! We’re capturing a snapshot in time (literally!) of your child’s dance journey; a time when each dancer has the opportunity to feel like they stepped into a custom photo shoot. It’s moments like these that become a cherished part of their dance experience at SDS.
